Ah, the wonderful world of blogs…
I’ve been reading blogs for as long as I can remember and over the years have found a few firm favourites that I visit regularly for inspiration, or just to follow along on my favourite bloggers’ adventures.
There are so many creative, talented and inspiring people out there, who openly share intimate parts of their lives and thoughts through beautiful words and breathtaking photography. Today I want to share with you a few blogs that resonate with me for various reasons.
- THE TRAVELING MAMA BEAR
Eva-Maria of House of Smilla is a phenomenal writer who elegantly stitches words together to produce thoughtful posts that you want to keep on reading long after she has signed off. Her photos hug you with their warmth and her honest posts about her journey as a mother is a must-read for the mamas and mamas-to-be.
- THE STYLISTA
Megan Jennifer is a student and cacti enthusiast living in Pheonix, Arizona. Apart from our mutual love of cacti, we share a love of cats, minimalism and natural curls. I adore this lady’s polished, yet laid back style, which is evident throughout the quietly sophisticated snaps of her home, her adventures and her personal fashion on her blog and Instagram feed.
- THE FOODIE
Oh my, where do I start… Magnificently moody food photography; mouth-watering recipes; interesting stories of a life well travelled. Founder of Local Milk Blog, Beth, is a stylist, photographer and recipe developer who is on a journey to “find the sacred in the mundane and the beauty in daily life.” Read more about Beth and why you should follow her journey here.
- THE MINIMALIST
A new find, The Private Life of a Girl covers ALL things minimalism – from decluttering your home; to styling a minimalist home office; to minimal fashion, wellness and self improvement. Her posts are well written, informative and exactly what this aspiring minimalist needs in her life right now. Oh, and she designs pretty jewellery too!
- THE DARLING ALL-ROUNDER
Last but not least is a blog that covers all of the above and so much more. Darling Magazine is an independent women’s print magazine famous for its ‘no-retouching’ policy. The Darling blog is written for eight types of women, namely the Intellectual, Hostess, Dreamer, Confidant, Stylist etc. Each section is filled with refreshing, well-written articles, focused on empowering women, and redefining beauty.
I adore these blogs, and encourage you to visit them and spend some time getting to know these bloggers. I have no doubt that you will find them inspiring too.
